The former member of Shatta Movement’s Militant Group, Addi Self, discussed the group’s split in an interview with Joy Prime. He recalled a time when an artiste named Kweku Smoke visited the camp and was friendly with Shatta.
He said that when Kweku Smoke came back, he was doing things with Shatta Wale that he had seen online because he was not always there. He said Shatta Wale had expected the militants to support him in a disagreement with Kweku Smoke over an allegedly stolen track.
Addi said that when he saw the live video, he went to him and told him that he had to tell him what he thought. Despite the career impact of the split, Addi said that he did not want to get involved in the situation. He said that he preferred to watch and support from a distance rather than being close and controlled
