The outstanding beautiful Ghanaian Fulani songstress Aisha Ahmed popularly known as Aisha GH has expressed her grievances about the way Fulanis are been maltreating in Ghana.
In a video circulating on social media, the beautiful Fulani songbird was exasperated asking the authorities why are they not classifying Fulanis as Ghanaians. In question, she asks, who is more Ghanaian than the other in Ghana? Because she is not happy with the way they treat the Fulbes in Ghana.
She said she is a Ghanaian and she’s proud of that where ever she finds herself. She went ahead saying, her great-grandparents were born in Ghana, followed by her grandparent and her parent as well. So why then would the authorities tell her she’s not a Ghanaian?
She added the Fulani in Ghana are really suffering from brutality and killing in their villages, but no one talks about it. They have been denied issuing Ghana cards as well as Ghanaian passports because they are not considered to be Ghanaians. Meanwhile, they vote in every year’s election.
Aisha Ghana appealed to the Ghanaian President and the authorities to reconsider this situation. ” We lack security and protection in the country we were born in. No one talks for us, no one cares about our safety and livelihoods, and in every situation a Fulani finds himself, he will be tagged as notorious and not Ghanaian”.
This perception or frame of mind about the Fulanis in Ghana must be changed. That we are still communicating to our people to keep conducting their self well to avoid any form of chaos.
